After only three months on the street, Gucci Mane is back behind bars.

In April, Gucci was jailed on numerous unspecified probation violations, which stem from a 2005 aggravated assault case. That month, however, the Atlanta rapper was also arrested on charges he shoved a female passenger from a moving vehicle back in January. While Gucci served time on probation violations from the ’05 case, he had yet to be sentenced in the January incident until Tuesday (September 13).

The rapper’s attorney, Ashutosh Joshi, confirmed to MTV News that Gucci has been sentenced to six months in jail after pleading guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct and one count of disorderly conduct for pushing a woman out of his Hummer back on January 28.

The “Wasted” MC is currently locked up in Georgia’s DeKalb County Jail, where his lawyer hopes he will be allowed to serve out his entire sentence. “It’s a case that we knew about, that we expected would come about at some point,” Joshi said.

State Court Judge Eleanor Ross sentenced Gucci to six months and three years of probation, which is to take effect after his release. As a result of his plea, the Atlanta trap spitter was ordered to complete 12 weeks of anger management courses, pay $5,091 to cover the woman’s medical bills and a separate $3,000 fine. (The 1017 rapper’s current sentence also satisfies the criminal damage to government property charge he was handed after kicking a cop car last year.)

On the morning of January 28, the victim, a 36-year-old Atlanta resident, was at the South DeKalb Mall, when she was approached by a male driving a white Hummer; he was eventually identified as Gucci Mane. According to the victim, Gucci asked if she wanted to get breakfast, to which she agreed before entering his vehicle. However, once inside the truck, Gucci allegedly offered the victim $150 to “go to the hotel.” When she refused and asked to be driven back to the mall, the rapper allegedly leaned over to open the passenger side door and shoved her out of the moving vehicle.

According to the report, the victim “had redness on her left side/ back area.” And although she had never met Gucci before, the victim stated that she was familiar with his music and “recognized an ‘ice cream cone’ tattoo on the suspect’s face.”

A press release from the Metropolitan Police, which doesn’t specifically name Winehouse, says:

“Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased.

On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained.“

Winehouse famously battled addiction to drugs and alcohol and was in and out of rehab several times throughout the years.

Last month, Winehouse canceled her European tour after a performance in Serbia where she seemed completely out of it.

HARRISON — Three young men were hospitalized Thursday night after, police said, they apparently overdosed on a synthetic incense similar to K2, which is marketed on the Internet as a legal way to get high.

“Without question, lawmakers are going to have to consider declaring some of these things as illegal substances,” Harrison police Chief Anthony Marraccini said Friday. “There are so many of them being marketed on the Internet that you can’t name them all.”

Police were called to a private home about 10:30 p.m. on a report of two young men having convulsions that appeared to have been induced by narcotics. Investigators discovered a white, grainy substance, believed to be a synthetic compound, that had been ingested by three 18- to 20-year-old men, who they did not identify.

All three were taken to White Plains Hospital, where they were treated and released. Marraccini said all appeared to be OK on Friday.

Because the substance is legal, no charges were filed.

Police were trying to determine the name of the substance and find out where the men got it.

Marraccini said it was similar to K2, a synthetic incense that is frequently smoked and can result in hallucinations, seizures and other medical problems. In May, police confiscated a package of K2 from four Harrison students who took the substance to Louis M. Klein Middle School.

That incident occurred a month after three teens in Rockland County were hospitalized with symptoms including dizziness, paralysis and seizures after smoking “Atomic Bomb,” a synthetic incense they bought at the Palisades Center mall.

The federal Drug Enforcement Administration recently added substances found in K2 and similar products to its list of banned compounds. Several states have outlawed the incense.

Manufacturers continue to get around the bans, however, by changing ingredients, authorities said.

“The marketing of these synthetic substances or so-called natural herbal substances is enticing children to use them and to assume they are safe,” Marraccini said. “Parents have to be diligent and can’t allow or condone the use of any of these substances, no matter how trivial they may seem.”

WHITE PLAINS — A 40-year-old Greenburgh man was arrested in Monday morning’s robbery of the TD Bank on Central Avenue only three minutes after the 8:30 a.m. heist took place.

Eric Hoffstead, who gave police an address of 1 Westhelp Drive, was charged with first-degree robbery of the TD Bank at 495 Central Ave., Public Safety Commissioner David Chong said.

Greenburgh and White Plains cops arrested him in an alley behind the nearby Central Motel. The bank is on the municipal border.

Hoffstead faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted of the felony charge.

Police were also questioning a second person, Chong said.

They also were looking into whether Hoffstead had ties with any guests of the motel.

Chong said police recovered roughly $1,700 in cash, believed to be proceeds from the robbery, and a New York Yankees baseball cap Hoffstead was wearing when he robbed the bank.

The TD Bank was one of the few banks open on the July Fourth holiday.

“Just because it is a holiday does not mean that police are taking a holiday,” Chong said. “It was a great response by the officers involved.”

Hoffstead entered the bank about 8:30 a.m. and made threatening gestures to three employees inside before passing a note to one of them demanding money, Chong said.

An employee gave him some money and he fled north on Central Avenue toward the motel, four doors from the bank.

Bank employees sounded the alarm as soon as he left and one watched him as he ran down the street, giving a description that helped police catch him in the alley, Chong said.

No one was injured.

WHITE PLAINS — NBA point guard Nate Robinson made quite a splash on Main Street early Friday when police said he was spotted urinating on the sidewalk outside the City Center.

The 5-foot-9 member of the Oklahoma City Thunder, who has also played for the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics, was arrested shortly before 2 a.m. after cops said he was seen doing his business outside the Barnes & Noble store at 230 Main St.

He was taken Police Headquarters where he was issued a ticket charging him with a public urination violation. Robinson was released on $100 bail and is due in City Court on June 22. The violation normally carries a $50 fine. Police said he gave a Seattle, Wash., address.

Robinson, 27, is one of the shortest players in the league and a three-time NBA dunk champion. He was traded to the Celtics in February 2010 and, later that month, after playing 26 games for Boston, was traded to the Thunder.

WHITE PLAINS – A cashier at the City Center Target store was arrested Friday afternoon, accused of stealing a total of $1,683 from cash registers beteween May 14 and May 31.

Cops were called to the 9 City Place store shortly before 5 p.m., and a security official told them that Melissa Morales, a cashier, had taken money from cash registers on four ocassions.

Morales, 22, of the Coachman Family Center, 123 E. Post Road, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.
